CIVIL ENGINEERING :EBENNEEBULLEPELLEPPB

Generalities

Within the scope of civil engineering services in hostile environment, Groupe INTRA has a civil engineering devices fleet at its disposal. Developped from basic industrial machines, they can be remote controlled, or driven from the vehicle cabin. Equiped with powerful lightings, they are operational day and night.

The fleet is composed of :

  • 1 Dump truck : EBENNE
  • 1 Excavator : EPELL
  • 1 Bulldozer : EBULL
  • 1 Command post for EPELL and EBULL : EPPB

In case of intervention in contaminated or irradiating areas, the civil engineering vehicles operate after an external reconnaissance performed by the outdoor robots (ERASE).

Missions

  • Digging trenches
  • Building mounds
  • Scraping the soil
  • Grading the ground
  • Transportating soil or rubble

DUMPS

EBENNE

> General Description

EBENNE (Dump Truck Robot)

EBENNE is a dump truck equiped with cameras, lightings and a gamma goniometer. Like an outdoor robot, it is remote controlled from PP and PCT. This particularity allows to telecommand it day and night at a distance of several kilometers.

Its teleoperation can be relayed by ERELT and ERELH machines.

EBULL

> General Description

EBULL (Teleoperated Bulldozer Robot)

EBULL is a bulldozer fitted with cameras, lightings as well as necessary transmission equipment. Like EPELL, it is radio controlled from the EPPB vehicle (Mobile command post), simultaneously under video and visual surveillance. For safety and performance reasons, the average distance between the control vehicle and the working vehicles is about 300 metres. Capable of day and night operation, the EBULL also retains all the working performance capacity of the original standard vehicle.

EPPB

> Missions

EPPB (Armoured Mobile Command Post)

It is a mobile control vehicle designed for directing the remote control of the EPELL and EBULL vehicles Considering the special characteristics of the machine in terms of operator protection, EPPB can be used for carrying out visual reconnaissance of sites considered hostile.

> General Description

EPPB is a carrier mounted with an NBC armoured cabin which provides an attenuation factor 100 against gamma radiation. This cabin can accommodate two operators and provides for simultaneous control of EPELL and EBULL vehicles as well as driving the carrier itself Driving is by direct sight through shielding windows and/or the intermediary of the cameras which equip the robots. For safety and performance reasons, the average distance between the control vehicle and the working vehicles does not exceed 300 metres The operators are provided with on-board individual safety protection equipment and radiological control devices.
